Moses and the Ten Commandments

What comes across your mind about Moses? A prophet of Israel? The miracle of the Red Sea? Canaan, the land of promise? Or the Ten Commandments? However, you will not be reminded of churches. Moreover, some of you will say with confidence that Moses bears no relation to the World Mission Society Church of God. Moses is a biblical character. Even those who do not believe in God know his name and some biblical events related with him. There is a close connection between Moses and churches which want to be saved. Do you know that the World Mission Society Church of God was established according to the works of Moses?

Do you think that Moses was but a leader who led the Israelites out of Egypt into Canaan? The Bible proves that Moses represents Christ who comes to the earth as the Savior(Ac 3:20~24). The Bible wrote that Christ Jesus has come as a prophet like Moses. Christ will come a second time in this last age to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him(Heb 9:28).

He may send the Christ ~ even Jesus. ~ For Moses said, “The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me ~ you must listen to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people.—Ac 3:20~24

Thus, the Bible testifies that Moses represents Christ Jesus who came as the Savior! This fact shows that the Israelites who were led by Moses represent God’s people. That is, members of the World Mission Society Church of God who will be led by Christ into eternal heaven’s kingdom.

World Mission Society Church of God established by Christ

According to this prophecy, the World Mission Society Church of God was established by Christ Jesus. The World Mission Society Church of God by Christ Jesus, who came as a prophet like Moses, is the true church(Ac 3:20~24). Who are truly God’s people except those who are accompanied by Christ Jesus?

I(Paul) want to know, brothers, that the gospel I preached is not something that man made up. ~ I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ. For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I(Paul) persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it.—Gal 1:11~13

However, many churches which claim to believe in Jesus say, “God truly goes in company with our church! We’ve received the promise of entering the kingdom of heaven!” And, they also insist that they are different from other churches. That is, each church claims that not every church is accompanied by God and not all believers will be saved. Do you think that every church is accompanied with God? Not at all!

The Salvation is to be allowed only to the church established by God(Ac 20:28). Which church keeps the new covenant Passover established by Jesus for the forgiveness of sins(Lk 22:14~20)? Only the World Mission Society Church of God! Then, the World Mission Society Church of God is the only church that God guaranteed eternal salvation.

Relationship between Moses and Christ Jesus

The Bible teaches us what to know for salvation(Heb 10:1, 3:5~9, Ro 15:4).

Moses was faithful as a servant in all God’s house, testifying to what would be said in the future. But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. ~ As has just been said: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts~” ~ And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the desert? And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed?—Heb 3:5~18

Like the above word, Moses represents Christ who is to come. Then, the biblical record that Moses led Israelites to Canaan is a prophecy to be fulfilled in this last age. Moses led Israelites who had been in slavery in Egypt into Canaan through the Old Covenant(the Law of Moses). Those who hardened their hearts against the Old Covenant were all destroyed in the desert. On the contrary, those who listened were pleased with entering Canaan.

This is a prophecy to be fulfilled by Christ(Heb 10:1). Indeed, Christ has come to lead us to heaven’s kingdom where there’s no more death. And, He established the New Covenant(Christ’s law)(Lk 22:14~20, Jn 3:16, Heb 2:14). God will regard us as his people when we listen to this New Covenant(Heb 8:7~13).

The Old Covenant and Judaism

The Israelites had suffered the slavery in Egypt. They had prayed God unceasingly for salvation and God determined to release the Israelites for Canaan. It was very Moses who were chosen for this great work(Ex 3:7~12).

God allowed the Passover of the Old Covenant through Moses. The Israelites who kept this Passover were saved among the plague on the firstborn while there was not a house without someone dead in Egypt. In this way, the Israelites were set free at the end of the 430 years and took the first step toward Canaan(Ex 12:31~42). Do you think that God just led the Israelites into the desert and did nothing? Not at all!

 Then Moses went up to God, and the LORD called to him ~ Now if you obey me fully and keep my covenant ~ you will be my treasured possession. ~ you will be for me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation.’ These are the words you are to speak to the Israelites.—Ex 19:3~6

After proclaiming this will, God allowed the Ten Commandments, the core of the Old Covenant(Ex 20:1~21, 34:28). You may heard about the Book of the Law like Deuteronomy(Dt 4:12~14, 5:1~21, 31:24~26). The Book of the Law was written to help the Israelites to be faithful to the Ten Commandments. The LORD promised that whoever is faithful to the Old Covenant will be led into Canaan which flows with milk and honey(Dt 5:33, 6:1~5).

And, God taught them that this Covenant is to be on their heart, tying it as symbol on their hands and binding it on their foreheads(Dt 6:7~8, Ex 13:1~9). Have you ever seen a Jewish man who prepared the ‘tefillin’ on his hand or forehead? Some people try to be faithful to the Old Covenant, and we call them Judaism.

The New Covenant and Christianity

2000 years ago, Christ Jesus came to Israel in the flesh. Who is Jesus? The Bible wrote that Jesus is the LORD God(Isa 9:1~7, Philippians 2:5~8, Ro 9:5). Why did the LORD God who had proclaimed the Old Covenant came to the earth in the flesh? No one can possess firm belief on Christ unless he realizes the reason!

Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.—Mt 5:17~18

Christ Jesus made His position clear. As you read, He appeared in the flesh to fulfill the Law. The Old Covenant(the Law of Moses) had something wrong to save our souls(Heb 8:7). So Christ had to come to save us by establishing the New Covenant(Christ’s law)(1 Co 9:21, Heb 7:11~12). According to the Bible, it’s only the LORD God who is to make this New Covenant(Jer 31:31). Those who receive the One who makes this New Covenant will be reckoned as God’s people(Heb 8:9~10).

In a word, those who follow the New Covenant will be those who receive true God becoming the heirs of heaven’s kingdom when God allows it(Jn 1:9~18, Ro 8:16~17). Christianity is the religion that follows Christ Jesus, the LORD God who appeared in the flesh to establish the New Covenant. In other words, those who have no idea of the New Covenant are those who do not receive Christ and are far from Christians!

World Mission Society Church of God keeps the New Covenant

The LORD God came to the earth in the name of Jesus to save us and set up the World Mission Society Church of God. Yon can confirm this through the Bible(Lk 22:14~20, Ac 20:28, Gal 1:13). However, God’s people who had kept the New Covenant came to disappear after the Passover was abolished at the Council of Nicaea in A.D. 325. Since then, no one could be saved.

For our salvation, the LORD God who made the New Covenant has to come again in the flesh to restore it(Isa 25:6~9, Heb 9:28). Recently, you may have seen some articles that the World Mission Society Church of God keeps the New Covenant Passover according to the Bible through the mass media. It’s true. Then, what’s the reason only the World Mission Society Church of God keeps the New Covenant among numerous churches? It’s because the World Mission Society Church of God is the church established by the 2nd Coming Christ who restored the New Covenant.

Christ wanted to lead people to eternal kingdom by the New Covenant 2000 years ago just as Moses led the Israelites to Canaan, the land of promise, by the Old Covenant. And, it is the same in this last age.

Those who disobeyed the Old Covenant allowed through Moses failed to enter Canaan. According to this prophecy, those who disobey the New Covenant allowed through the 2nd Coming Christ will fail to enter the kingdom of heaven. This is why you have to come to the World Mission Society Church of God!
